Stock Comment

Numbers keep coming in with over 530 head yarded this week. A good run of export cattle were available and most processors were operating on a firm to dearer market
trend. Bulls sold well selling firm to dearer. Cows sold firm to dearer lifting to 15c/kg in places. Heavy bullocks and export heifers were in good supply with rises in both
categories 10 to 15c/kg. Weaner cattle were in short supply, however good quality weaners still sold firm and secondary classes of weaner cattle remained cheaper

Coombadjha Trust of Jackadgery was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’at the Grafton Prime cattle sale on Tuesday 26th March. The vendor was selected for their offering of 24hd, topping at $1,345.89/hd for 3 Brangus Cross Heifers which sold for 226.2c/kg at an average weight of 595kg. The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock & Station Agents of Ulmarra
