Vendor of the Week – STORE CATTLE SALE THURSDAY 20TH FEBRUARY 2025

Kathy Stuart of Coramba was selected as the ‘Vendor of the Week’ at the Farrell McCrohon Store Cattle sale – Thursday 20th February.  The vendor was selected for her offering of 18 high quality Angus steer calves sired by a Clarence Park Angus bull.  Ten of the steers sold to a local buyer with an eye for quality, while the remaining 8 steers (pictured) sold to a Tablelands buyer.  This pen of 8 sold for 414.2c/kg at an average weight of 293.8kg to gross the vendor $1,216.71/head.  The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.

 

 

 

 

Stock Comment

A good size yarding was on offer today, with a very good line up consisting of heavy export bullocks and heifers and made up mostly by culled cows. Not all processors were operating, however one major processor returned keeping the job firm. Bulls sold well selling firm to dearer. Bullocks sold firm to cheaper due to the absence of major processor. Export heifers were in short supply and sold firm. Cows were in good supply and sold well selling firm to dearer up to 10 cents. Weaner steers sold well selling firm while heifers sold slightly easier.

Vendor of the Week – Tuesday 21/01/25

M & F Rippon of Coramba were selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at the Grafton prime cattle sale on Tuesday January 21st, 2025.  The vendor was selected for their offering of 3 Hereford-Cross bullocks sold from their picturesque property in the beautiful Orara Valley.  The offering topped at 354.2c/kg for the 4-tooth bullocks pictured, which averaged 697.5kg and grossed $2,470.55/head.  The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.
