Stock Comment

Numbers increased this week and a large panel of buyers were present with most processors operating. A good line up of export & weaner cattle were on offer & many increases in prices were seen across the board. Bulls were dearer 15-20c/kg. Bullocks sold well seeing increases of 10-15c/kg. A good run of Cows were on offer selling stronger by 10-12c/kg. Feeder cattle were in shorter supply, however we still saw local backgrounders & feed lotters show strong support. A very good line up of weaner cattle were yarded, both steers & heifers sold to dearer trends.

Vendor of the Week – Tuesday 21/11/24

‘Crowe Farms’ was selected as the ‘vendor of the week’ at the Farrell McCrohon store cattle sale on Thursday November 21, 2024.  The famous vendor sold a total of 13 head from their well-known property at Nana Glen.  The best of the offering was a pen of 6 weaner Angus steers, selling for 406.2c/kg at an average weight of 239.2kg to gross the vendor $971.50/head.  The offering was sold by Farrell McCrohon Stock and Station Agents of Ulmarra.
